Suitable for the manufacture and construction of sub-sea concrete based structures. Stone, aggregate and ballast also available for export by sea.
The quarry has 6.5 million tonnes of consented reserves. As well as producing traditional quarry materials, we also manufacture more specialised products. Kishorn Quarry produces a wide range of high quality aggregates from its extensive reserves of Torridonian Sandstone deposit. The stone has renowned colour and skid resistance properties, and features widely as a superior surface dressing aggregate.
Since 2008, Leiths have shipped by barge 16,000 tonne of concrete segments, 55,000 tonne of Rock and 30,000 tonne of other quarry materials. The Raasay Project has brought Kishorn to the attention of major civil engineering companies as a top class production, fabrication and load out facility. Enquiries for similar and future projects are welcome.
