Further improvements on site at Kishorn

KPL have made further improvements to the facilities on site in recent weeks with the delivery of additional office blocks that include catering capacity, drying rooms and first aid facilities.

Lochcarron Highland Games

KPL are delighted to this year continue our sponsorship for the 41st Lochcarron Highland Games. The games feature the traditional mixture of heavy events, track and field plus highland dancing and piping displays. This year’s games will be held on Saturday 20th July at Attadale Estate.

University of Aberdeen Visit Kishorn Port & Dry Dock

KPL Directors Alasdair Ferguson and Simon Russell welcomed 30 students and senior academic staff from the University of Aberdeen on site at Kishorn.

Kishorn Port secures Waste Management Licence and invests a further £1.6 million

Kishorn Port Ltd (KPL) has secured a Waste Management Licence (WML) from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) for the decommissioning of off-shore oil and gas assets at Kishorn Yard and Dry Dock.

Ocean GreatWhite at Kishorn Port & Dry Dock

Kishorn Port Ltd (KPL) commenced 2019 by welcoming its first major contract the Ocean GreatWhite. Owned by Diamond Offshore, a global offshore drilling contractor, the Ocean GreatWhite weighs in at 60,800 tonnes and is a 6th Generation Harsh Environment drilling rig capable of drilling down to 10,000m in 3,000m of water. With a draft of over 23 metres, the rig requires deep water for anchoring and Loch Kishorn provided the ideal sheltered conditions.

Ocean GreatWhite Departs from Kishorn Port & Dry Dock

Final preparations are being made for the imminent departure of the Ocean GreatWhite semi submersible drilling rig from Kishorn Port & Dry Dock.

KPL Drop-In Morning – Saturday 23rd February

Following the arrival of the Ocean GreatWhite, Kishorn Port Ltd would like to invite the people of Kishorn, Lochcarron and surrounding areas to visit the site. The drop-in morning will allow everyone to see the OGW from the site and we will again provide short mini-bus tours of the Dry Dock and yard throughout the morning.Tours will take place from 9am to 12pm, at intervals.

KPL School Visits and Drop-In Morning
