About the job Due to expanding business needs and continued growth, Ferguson Transport & Shipping, as Port Managers and Agent, are currently recruiting for an Environmental Officer, based at Kishorn Port.  This is a part-time role, up to 25 hours flexible working per week. Duties will include: Responsibility for ensuring all environmental aspects of the business are compliant Overseeing projects and site requirements for waste management licence and environmental requirements To oversee the day-to-day management of the Company’s waste management licence and NORM permit to support operations Ensure audits are conducted in line with the requirements of the European Union Ship Recycling Regulations to support operations. Completion and submission of quarterly returns Safety and environmental daily audits around the port, reporting and following up on any non-compliances  Support RPS to ensure full compliance Providing administrative support where required to the SHEQ department and Senior Management to support the environmental targets within the business The successful candidate will have: Experience of working in a similar environmental role, preferably managing procedures with the planning and executing of NORM work activities and WML licencing and permitting.
