KPL are delighted to welcome the Noble Intrepid
KPL are delighted to welcome into Kishorn Port & Dry Dock the jack up drilling rig the “Noble Intrepid.” A fantastic job by all the team involved!! We wish the client, all the crew on board, along with visiting contractors, a great stay and warm welcome to a lovely part of the world, in Wester Ross, Scotland.
Matador 3 Visits Kishorn Port
We welcomed into Kishorn Port the “Matador 3” heavy lift barge this week and assisted with her rigging set up, prior to going onto a lifting job on the West Coast. The Matador 3 is the younger sister of Matador 2 and lifts no less than 1800t.
OEUK Decommissioning Conference 2022
KPL had a busy couple of days at the OEUK Decommissioning Conference and exhibition this week. With over 400 people attending the event, it ran from 21-23rd November, bringing together industry experts for presentations, networking opportunities, exhibitions, and a dinner at the Fairmont Hotel, St Andrews, Fife. Thank you to the organisers and all those who visited our stand. We are already looking forward to the 2023 event!

The Voyageur Spirit is now out of the dry dock and in her new position alongside the piled quay at Kishorn Port. The gate is back in and pumping out of the dock will start any time soon! A great job by everyone involved. Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
KPL were delighted to support the Lochcarron Platinum Jubilee Committee, with arranging the local celebrations held at the Howard Doris Centre on Saturday. As you can see from the photographs, the day was well attended. Great fun and celebrations were had by all. A huge well done to all the organisers, helpers, volunteers and to all those who attended to make the day such a success. On behalf of KPL and joint venture partners, Leiths Scotland and Ferguson Transport & Shipping a huge pat on the back goes to everyone involved.
SCDI Visit
KPL Director, Alasdair Ferguson and General Manager at the Port, Mike Bauermeister welcomed the SCDI Regional Board for a visit to the port and dry dock, where they were given a presentation, overview and tour round the port.

KPL become an Approved Yard for Ship Recycling
EU warmly congratulate KPL on their inclusion in the EU List of approved yards for ship recycling which has been adopted by the European Commission. The European Commission, commented; “We are pleased to inform you that the relevant Commission Implementing Decision establishing the latest edition of the European List of ship recycling facilities and including Kishorn Port Ltd has been adopted today by the European Commission. The said Decision will be published in the Official Journal of the EU shortly.
