Kishorn Port Ltd win Coastal Communities award
KPL Directors are delighted to announce Kishorn Port Ltd were awarded – Crown Estate Scotland Award for Outstanding Supporter of Coastal Communities.
“Coastal Communities across the Highlands and Islands have shown their resilience in recovering from the pandemic and dealing with the recent economic challenges of skills shortages and rising costs, whilst showing the way in tracking a range of longer-term challenges including climate change. The award was open to businesses and organisations who have played a positive role in supporting coast communities to survive and thrive during the most challenging of times, whether through creating new employment and economic opportunities, delivering regeneration and sustainable development, protecting biodiversity or connecting communities”.
Alasdair Ferguson, KPL Director commented on winning the award “It is a huge honour for the KPL team to receive this prestigious award, and it is testament to Kishorn Port’s progress and achievements in recent years, as well as the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in making this possible. A special thanks to Prosper, Crown Estate Scotland and the local communities we serve and operate in.”
We would like to extend our congratulations to all those nominated and the winners, especially Whyte & Mackay for winning the BlueFloat Energy, Nadara Award for Excellence in Natural Capital, Climate Change and Sustainable Communities.
A great evening was had by all, networking and chatting to fellow nominees and friends in the business community.
