Scottish Government and Highlands & Islands Enterprise Visit Kishorn Port

KPL Directors Alasdair Ferguson and Carol MacKinnon hosted a visit earlier this month from Jim Fairlie MSP, Minister for Agriculture, Marine and Islands, Nathan Waldie – Private Secretary to Mr Fairlie, Hazel Bartels – Senior Delivery Lead – Farmed Fish Health and Innovation from The Scottish Government and the Chair of Highlands and Islands Enterprise – Angus Campbell and his colleagues; Alastair Nicolson – LSWR Area Manager, Ian Philp – Head of Strengthening Communities, Elaine Jamieson – Head of Life Sciences and the Blue Economy and Gillian Frampton – Creative Design Manager.

The visit started with a company presentation to outline the future masterplan of Kishorn Port followed by a tour of the site and a walk inside the Dry Dock, to really capture the scale of the extensive construction works, which are at the final stages of completion.

Alasdair Ferguson commented: “It was a real pleasure to host the visit and meet in person, Angus and Jim and to share our vision and where we are to date with further plans for the future for Kishorn Port. The construction works are all part of the journey we are on and our quest to deliver exemplary port infrastructure, second to none. The dry dock is undoubtedly our unique selling point, and the extension to the dock will be suitable to support a number of sectors, from energy security, offshore floating wind, recycling and decommission and the aquaculture sectors. These investments will future proof our offering at the port for now and in the long term with further expansion and significant investments being considered as part of our master plan.”
